The KENNAMETAL 6111676 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ISO designation SEKT1404AEENGP2 and ANSI code SEKT443AEEN7GP2. It features a square shape with a 90-degree included angle and is manufactured to KCPM40 grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN and AlCrN dual-layer coating for extended wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. The insert measures 14.00 mm (0.5512 inches) in inscribed circle diameter and 0.1875 inches (3/16 inches) thick, with a 1.00 mm corner radius and a 20-degree relief angle. Four cutting edges are available per insert. The GP2 chip breaker geometry and positive rake angle of 11 degrees promote efficient chip flow and reduced cutting forces. Installation is accomplished via screw-clamp holding.
This insert is intended for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, and S. It is suited for use in face milling, shoulder milling, and other milling applications where a positive-rake, single-sided square insert is required. The SEKT1404AEENGP2 is compatible with the Kennametal KSSM cutter series. Typical users include CNC machinists and tooling specialists in aerospace, energy, and general metalworking shops running multi-axis machining centers.
Designed for use with the Kennametal KSSM cutter series. ISO code SEKT1404AEENGP2 and ANSI code SEKT443AEEN7GP2 designations confirm fit with compatible toolholders accepting the SEKT insert style.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the milling cutter body is fully de-energized and the machine spindle is locked before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer for the clamping screw torque. Inspect the insert pocket seat and clamping screw for wear or damage before seating a new insert.
