The KENNAMETAL 6025611 is an indexable high-feed end mill designed for aggressive material removal in CNC machining centers and milling operations. Built on a 1.25-inch cylindrical shank with a 7792VXD09 toolholder style, it accepts four XD..090408 screw-locked inserts and delivers a maximum depth of cut of 1.50 mm per pass. The 10-inch (254 mm) overall length and integrated through-coolant capability make it well suited for deep-reach applications where chip evacuation and thermal management are critical. The tool weighs 1.55 pounds and is rated to 40,500 RPM, supporting high-productivity finishing and semi-finishing strategies in production environments.
This end mill is used in precision machining applications where high-feed toolpaths are programmed to maximize material removal rates while keeping cutting forces low. The shallow depth of cut combined with high feed rates suits hard materials and difficult-to-machine alloys common in aerospace, die-and-mold, and general production machining. Through-coolant delivery directs fluid directly to the cutting zone, extending insert life and improving surface finish. Machinists and CNC programmers working with VMCs, HMCs, or machining cells will find this tool appropriate for both roughing and pre-finish passes at elevated spindle speeds.
Designed for use with XD..090408 series indexable inserts and the 7792VXD09 toolholder style. Confirm toolholder bore, retention method, and machine spindle taper compatibility before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before mounting or removing the tool. Verify shank engagement depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum and that the through-coolant port aligns with the machine spindle coolant supply. Follow the insert manufacturer torque guidance for the screw-lock fastener and inspect insert seating before initiating any cutting cycle.
