The KENNAMETAL 5941726 is a double-end, neutral-cutting indexable cutoff blade designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the EVBS blade style within the Beyond Evolution series, it measures 25.05mm (0.986 inches) in height, 4mm (0.158 inches) in width, and 150.25mm (5.915 inches) in overall length. The blade accepts 4mm EG0400M04P04-style inserts held in place by a clamp-style insert holding method. With a neutral cutting direction, it suits straight-in parting applications where axial forces must be minimized. Machinists and CNC tool-setters working in production turning environments rely on this blade for repeatable insert indexing without disturbing the blade body.
This cutoff blade is intended for use in metal turning and parting operations across a range of materials typically encountered in production machining environments. The double-end design allows the blade body to be flipped when one pocket shows wear, extending useful blade life and reducing tooling cost per part. It fits standard EVBS-compatible blade holders and tooling blocks used on CNC turning centers in both job-shop and high-volume production settings. The Beyond Evolution series targets demanding parting and grooving applications where insert stability and consistent depth control are critical.
Designed for use with EG0400M04P04-style inserts at a 4mm insert width in EVBS-compatible blade holders within the KENNAMETAL Beyond Evolution tooling system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine powered down and all axes at a safe home position before tooling changes are made. The blade must be seated squarely in the holder and clamped to the manufacturer torque specification shown on the holder documentation before inserting or indexing any cutting insert. Verify that insert seating surfaces are clean and free of chips before clamping. Follow the machine tool builder and tooling manufacturer guidelines for overhang and blade projection to avoid deflection during the parting operation.
