The KENNAMETAL 5941724 is an EVBS-style double-end neutral indexable cutoff blade designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The blade measures 25.05 mm high, 2 mm wide, and 150.35 mm in overall length. It uses a clamp-style insert holding method and accepts EG0200M02P02-style inserts with a 2 mm insert width and a 2 mm insert seat size. Part of the Beyond Evolution series, this blade is built for machinists and tool-and-die professionals who need consistent, repeatable cutoff performance in production turning environments.
This blade is suited for production and job-shop turning applications where tight-tolerance parting and grooving are required. The double-end configuration allows the blade to be reversed, extending service life and reducing tooling cost per operation. The neutral cutting direction makes it compatible with standard right-hand turret setups. Machinists working on ferrous and non-ferrous materials in both light and medium-duty turning will find this blade appropriate for high-repetition cutoff cycles.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement blade for turning and parting toolholders that accept EVBS-style cutoff blades with a 2 mm insert seat size in the Beyond Evolution series.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine before removing or installing the blade. Verify insert seat and clamping surfaces are clean and free of chips before seating the blade. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping specifications when securing the clamp screw.
