The KENNAMETAL 5824425 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision material removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the Series 4CH platform with a KC633M PVD-applied TiN/TiAlN coating, this tool delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a broad range of workpiece materials. The 3/4 inch diameter, 4-flute, right-hand cutting configuration provides efficient chip evacuation and surface finish control. With a 45-degree chamfer angle and 0.0200 inch chamfer width, it produces consistent edge breaks and chamfers in a single pass. A Weldon Flat shank ensures secure tool holding and minimizes runout during high-feed operations. It is intended for installation and use by skilled machinists and tooling professionals.
This end mill is rated for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill mill operations, and plunging and recessing. It performs across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, making it a versatile choice for job shops and production machining environments. The 1-1/2 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length suit standard to moderate-depth milling applications on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without pre-drilling.
Suited for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals as identified by material group codes P, M, K, and N. Compatible with standard 3/4 inch Weldon Flat tool holders on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. Manufacturers catalog number 4CH0750IR150B.
This tool should be installed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool builder guidelines for spindle speed, feed rate, and tool holder torque. Ensure the Weldon Flat is properly seated and the set screw is torqued per the tool holder specification before engaging the workpiece. Inspect the tool for chips or coating damage before each use. Do not exceed the rated length of cut or depth of cut without consulting KENNAMETAL application data for the Series 4CH.
