The KENNAMETAL 5824190 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding industrial environments. Built to Series 4CH specifications, this tool features a 14.00 mm cutting diameter, 18.00 mm length of cut, and a 0.30 mm chamfer width at a 45-degree chamfer angle. The 4-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a 30-degree medium helix angle supports both roughing and finishing passes. A TiN/TiAlN PVD coating provides enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of workpiece materials. Overall length is 74.98 mm with a 14.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Installation is performed by machinists and tooling specialists in CNC and manual milling setups.
This end mill is suited for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down entry, helical interpolation, drill milling, and plunging and recessing operations. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, corresponding to material codes P, M, K, and N. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The normal pitch and fixed helix geometry make this tool predictable in a wide range of fixturing and spindle configurations common to production and job-shop milling.
Designed for use on CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 14.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. Also listed under manufacturer catalog number 4CH1400DK018A.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify shank-to-collet or end mill holder fit against published tolerance specs before tightening. Do not exceed manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut being applied.
