This octagon-shaped, single-sided insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, delivering strong oxidation resistance and wear performance at elevated cutting temperatures. With 8 usable cutting edges, a positive rake geometry, and a 15-degree relief angle with honed cutting edge style, it is engineered for efficient chip formation in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium applications. Installation is performed by CNC machinists and tool-room technicians using screw-style insert clamping.

This insert is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, and S. It is compatible with the KENNAMETAL 7745VOD04 cutter series and carries ANSI and ISO designations ODET0404APEN44 with chip breaker style 44.
