Carrying the ANSI/ISO designation XDLW120508SRD, this square-shaped insert features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, which provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting steel and hard materials. It has 4 cutting edges, a positive rake geometry, and a right-hand cutting orientation. The insert measures 0.5 inches in length and width, with a thickness of 0.2189 inches and a corner radius of 0.0312 inches. Licensed technicians and tooling specialists install this insert into compatible milling cutter bodies as part of precision machining operations.
This insert is suited for milling steel and hard material workpiece categories, as indicated by material application codes P and H.
