The KENNAMETAL 5516077 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the KCPK30 manufacturer grade, designed for high-productivity face and shoulder milling operations. It features a multilayer CVD coating system of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied over a solid carbide substrate, providing wear resistance and thermal stability across demanding cut conditions. The insert follows the LNGU541SRGE ANSI code and LNGU15T604SRGE ISO code, with a rectangular shape, 90-degree included angle, and a positive rake geometry. A GE chip breaker and chamfered, honed cutting edges contribute to controlled chip evacuation and edge integrity. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom technicians are the primary installers for this type of indexable insert.

This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, covering material application codes P, M, K, and S. Compatibility

Installation Notes

Indexable milling inserts are installed and indexed by qualified machinists or CNC tool-room technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or indexing inserts.
