The KENNAMETAL 5052007 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It carries a 5/8-inch mill diameter, a 3-inch length of cut, and a 0.06-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry is optimized for coarse-pitch roughing passes. At 5.25 inches overall length, this is an extra-long configuration suited for deep-pocket and extended-reach work. The bright uncoated finish is standard for non-ferrous machining where coating adhesion or built-up edge from aluminum and similar alloys is a concern. Machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops or production environments will find this tool in the AADE series from Kennametal.
This end mill is intended for single-end use in non-ferrous metals, with a primary workpiece material code of N. The extra-long body makes it appropriate for deep-cavity milling, tall-wall contouring, and applications where standard-length tools cannot reach the floor of a feature. The 5/8-inch straight cylindrical shank is compatible with HC 1/2 to HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, as specified by the manufacturer. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC milling setups.
Compatible with HC 1/2 to HC 1 1/4 hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, as stated by the manufacturer. This tool is part of the Kennametal AADE series and carries manufacturer catalog number 4K2316076C.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a hydraulic or precision collet holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the flute length, and confirm workholding rigidity before taking full-width roughing passes with an extended-length tool.
