The KENNAMETAL 4175902 is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for external grooving and turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a KCU10 manufacturer grade with a PVD-applied AlTiN coating, which provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The insert features a 1.58 mm cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 2.79 mm, with a full-radius nose geometry measuring 0.79 mm corner radius. It is oriented for right-hand cutting and belongs to the Top Notch series, held in place by a clamp-style toolholder.
