The KENNAMETAL 4169514 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 5/32-inch (0.1563-inch decimal) mill diameter, a 17/64-inch (0.2656-inch decimal) length of cut, and a 1/4-inch shank diameter with a total overall length of 1-1/2 inches. The three-flute geometry with a 38-degree right-hand spiral helix delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and high-temperature alloy cuts. This is a stub-length, centercutting end mill suited for tight-tolerance work in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The 4169514 is intended for metalworking professionals including machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments. Its stub-length profile provides rigidity in applications where minimal tool overhang is required. The centercutting design allows for direct plunge milling as well as conventional side milling. It is classified under Kennametal series UEDE and carries material grade KC643M, making it appropriate for milling hardened steels, stainless steels, and similar difficult-to-machine materials where coating performance is a factor.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill for use in standard 1/4-inch collet or end mill holder tooling systems on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention system to the machine or toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to fracture if mishandled.
