The KENNAMETAL 4151801 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized at wire gauge No. 40 (0.0980 inches decimal equivalent) with a 140-degree point angle and a multilayer TiAlN coating. The 140-degree split-point geometry reduces walking and decreases thrust force on entry, making it well-suited for consistent, repeatable hole placement. At 58.00 mm (2.284 inches) overall length with a 22.00 mm (0.866 inch) flute length, this drill is built for short-reach, high-precision applications. Solid carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance required when drilling hardened or abrasive workpiece materials. Right-hand spiral flutes with a regular helix evacuate chips efficiently during operation. Licensed HVAC techs, machinists, and maintenance professionals working with tight-tolerance holes install this drill in CNC machining centers and benchtop drill presses alike.
This jobber drill is designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The straight cylindrical shank (4.00 mm diameter, 28.00 mm shank length) seats directly into standard drill chucks and collet systems without adapters. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration make this drill effective for shallow-to-moderate depth holes up to 17.00 mm (0.669 inches) maximum drilling depth. It conforms to DIN 6537K specification, which defines tolerances and geometry for solid carbide jobber drills used in production environments.
