The KENNAMETAL 4151791 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. The drill measures 1.80 mm in diameter with a 140-degree point angle and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge. Overall length is 58.00 mm (2.2835 inches), and the flute length measures 12.00 mm (0.4724 inches). The straight cylindrical shank has a diameter of 4 mm (0.2656 inches). This bit is built to DIN 6537K specification and is intended for installation by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC or manual drilling equipment.
This drill is suited for production and job-shop environments where tight tolerances are required in small-diameter hole making. It is designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and right-hand spiral flute geometry support efficient chip evacuation in short-depth drilling cycles. Maximum drilling depth is 9.00 mm (0.3543 inches). The drill ships individually and is sized for use in collet chucks, drill chucks, and tool holders compatible with its 4 mm shank diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber drill replacement for use in standard 4 mm straight-shank tool holders, collet chucks, and drill chucks across CNC machining centers and manual drill presses handling small-diameter work.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable machine safety procedures. Ensure the shank seating depth in the collet or chuck meets the toolholder manufacturer specification before applying clamping torque. Do not exceed the recommended maximum drilling depth of 9.00 mm without retracting to clear chips. Cutting parameters such as feed rate and spindle speed should be selected based on workpiece material and machine rigidity.
