The KENNAMETAL 4151630 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision small-diameter drilling in demanding machining applications. Built to DIN 6537K specification, it features a TiAlN coating that extends tool life under high-temperature cutting conditions. The 140-degree drill point angle promotes accurate entry and reduces thrust on thin or hard workpiece materials. At 0.0469 inches (1.19 mm) in diameter, this bit is suited for micro-hole work where dimensional accuracy is critical. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working in tool rooms, production shops, and precision manufacturing environments.
The 4151630 is built for right-hand cutting and fits straight-cylindrical tool holders or collet chucks accepting a 4.00 mm shank. With an overall length of 2.2835 inches (58.00 mm) and a flute length of 0.2756 inches (7.00 mm), it is dimensioned for short, stable engagement in vertical machining centers, drill presses, and CNC lathes. A maximum drilling depth of 5.00 mm makes it appropriate for through-holes and shallow blind holes in metals, composites, and other machinable materials. The tapered web configuration and spiral flute geometry support chip evacuation in confined bores.
Designed for use in straight-cylindrical collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 4.00 mm shank diameter, compatible with CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision drilling fixtures used in Series B041A-CPG tooling applications.
Installation and operation of micro drill bits should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify collet or chuck runout is within acceptable limits before use, as excessive runout at this diameter will cause premature breakage. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
