The KENNAMETAL 4151629 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. Measuring 1.18 mm (0.0465 inches) in diameter with a 140-degree point angle, this bit is built for accurate entry and consistent hole geometry at small scales. The TiAlN coating provides heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and high-strength materials. With an overall length of 58.00 mm (2.2835 inches) and a straight-cylindrical shank, it mounts cleanly in standard toolholders. Machining professionals and tool-and-die trades install this bit for micro-hole work requiring repeatable, tight-tolerance results.
This micro drill bit is suited for precision CNC drilling operations in manufacturing, tooling, and machining environments. Its 7.00 mm (0.2756 inch) spiral flute length and maximum drilling depth of 5.00 mm make it appropriate for shallow, high-precision bores in hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and similar materials. The right-hand cutting direction and regular spiral type are consistent with standard machine-tool setups. It is sold individually and is part of the KENNAMETAL Series B041A-CPG.
Part of the KENNAMETAL Series B041A-CPG and manufactured to DIN 6537K specification. Designed as a replacement-style micro drill bit for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision manual machines equipped with collet or drill-chuck toolholding systems accepting a 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the bit from the toolholder. Carbide is brittle at small diameters — avoid side loading, off-center clamping, and excessive runout, which can cause breakage. Verify collet or chuck condition and concentricity before use, and do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 5.00 mm.
