The KENNAMETAL 4151133 is a screw machine length (stub) drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built from solid carbide and coated with a multilayer TiAlN finish at the tip, this bit delivers extended tool life and heat resistance at elevated cutting speeds. It measures 2.5984 inches overall length with a 4.90 mm (0.1929 inch) diameter, a 140-degree split point, and a tapered web configuration. The straight cylindrical shank measures 6.00 mm in diameter. Two regular spiral flutes and a right-hand cutting direction make this bit suitable for a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC machine operators.
This drill bit fits applications where a shorter, more rigid stub-length tool is preferred over a jobber-length bit — particularly in screw machine operations, CNC turning centers, and high-cycle production drilling. The 140-degree point reduces thrust and walking on entry, making it well-suited for through-hole and blind-hole work in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management in deep or high-feed drilling cycles. Maximum drilling depth is 20.00 mm (0.7874 inch). The part conforms to DIN 6537K specification and belongs to the KENNAMETAL B051A-CPG series.
Designed as a direct-fit stub-length drill bit for machine tool spindles and CNC toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm straight cylindrical shank. Part of the KENNAMETAL B051A-CPG series covering the 3.50 mm to 5.00 mm diameter range.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists following machine tool lockout/tagout procedures before accessing the spindle. Ensure the shank seating surface and toolholder bore are clean and free of chips or coolant residue before securing the bit. Consult the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards for proper runout tolerance and clamping torque when using carbide tooling. Verify coolant-through connections are properly seated and sealed before initiating a drilling cycle.
