The KENNAMETAL 4151124 is a solid carbide screw machine length (stub) drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6537K standards, it features a 140-degree split point for accurate entry and reduced thrust, a multilayer TiAlN coating at the tip for extended tool life under heat, and coolant-through capability to maintain cutting performance in deep-hole and high-speed applications. At 11/64 inch (0.1719 inch) diameter with a 2.5984-inch overall length, this stub-length bit offers increased rigidity over jobber-length equivalents. Licensed HVAC, mechanical, and industrial machinists working with CNC or manual screw machine setups will find this bit suited to tight-tolerance work.
This drill bit is intended for use in screw machine and production drilling operations where stub-length rigidity is required. The straight cylindrical shank at 0.2362 inch (6.00 mm) diameter is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems. The regular spiral flute geometry handles chip evacuation efficiently in through-coolant setups. A maximum drilling depth of 0.6693 inch (17.00 mm) makes this appropriate for short, precise bores in metal workpieces typical of automated machining cycles. It is sold individually and is suited to shops running Series B051A-CPG tooling programs.
Designed as an OEM-specification stub drill for use in CNC machining centers, screw machines, and manual drill presses equipped with chucks or collets accepting a 0.2362-inch straight cylindrical shank. Part of KENNAMETAL Series B051A-CPG. Drill bit diameter tolerance is -0.0005 to 0.0000 inch.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with cutting tool setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck or collet are clean and properly tightened before running. Verify coolant-through supply pressure and flow are appropriate for the machine before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 0.6693 inch per cycle without retracting for chip clearance.
