The KENNAMETAL 4151120 is a screw machine length (stub) drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from solid carbide with a multilayer TiAlN coating at the tip, it delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in demanding materials. The 140-degree point angle promotes accurate entry and reduces thrust force. At 2.5984 inches overall length with a 4.10 mm (0.1614 inch) cutting diameter, this short-length drill fits rigid setups where rigidity and repeatability matter. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and screw machines.
This drill bit is suited for screw machine and short-hole drilling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stainless steels, and high-temperature alloys. The stub length body reduces deflection and improves hole accuracy in production environments. The straight cylindrical shank with a 6.00 mm (0.2362 inch) diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. Coolant-through capability makes it compatible with through-spindle coolant systems, supporting chip evacuation and thermal management in deep or interrupted cuts. It follows DIN 6537K specification.
Designed as a DIN 6537K-compliant screw machine length drill bit in the KENNAMETAL Series B051A-CPG, fitting standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 6.00 mm straight cylindrical shank. Compatible with through-spindle coolant systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolroom practices. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the bit from the chuck or collet. Verify shank seating depth and runout before beginning production drilling. Do not exceed the maximum recommended drilling depth of 0.6693 inches (17.00 mm) per the tool geometry.
