The KENNAMETAL 4150735 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. It measures 9.80 mm in diameter with a 140-degree point angle and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and heat-intensive cutting conditions. The overall length is 103.00 mm (4.0551 inches), with a straight cylindrical shank of 10 mm diameter. A right-hand, regular spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. This drill is specified to DIN 6537K and is installed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance professionals working with CNC or manual drill presses.
This jobber drill is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials in both job-shop and production-line applications. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration support chip control in deeper hole cycles. It is appropriate for use in fixtures or drill chucks where a straight-cylindrical shank interface is specified. Maximum drilling depth is 49.00 mm (1.9291 inches). The 61.00 mm (2.4016-inch) flute length accommodates standard jobber-depth applications without regrind.
Designed as a DIN 6537K-compliant solid carbide jobber drill for use in standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 10 mm shank diameter. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine at a full stop and all energy sources locked out per applicable safety procedures. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized drill chuck or collet to the chuck manufacturer's recommended clamping torque range. Verify runout with an indicator before production use, as excessive runout accelerates carbide tool wear and can cause premature breakage. Coolant-through is not supported on this drill; external coolant or cutting fluid should be directed at the cutting zone when drilling steel or stainless steel.
