The KENNAMETAL 4150702 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 140-degree split point reduces thrust and improves self-centering at entry, making it well suited for production drilling where accuracy and tool life are priorities. The TiAlN coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending run time in demanding cuts. At 7.30 mm in diameter with a 91.00 mm overall length and a 53.00 mm flute length, this drill fits standard jobber-length applications across a range of machining setups. A right-hand, regular spiral flute geometry and tapered web construction support efficient chip evacuation.
This drill is intended for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. It conforms to DIN 6537K specification, indicating it meets recognized European standards for carbide jobber drills. Typical applications include production machining, job shop work, and maintenance-repair operations where a reliable, coated carbide drill is required. It is sold individually and is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines capable of holding a straight cylindrical shank.
Designed as a jobber-length carbide drill conforming to DIN 6537K, compatible with standard straight-shank collets and drill chucks sized for a 0.2874 inch (7.30 mm) diameter tool in CNC and manual drilling equipment.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle and workpiece are properly secured before engaging the drill. Verify collet or chuck runout is within acceptable tolerance to prevent premature tool wear or breakage. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to impact or side loading beyond the tool's designed capacity.
