The KENNAMETAL 4150698 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. It features a 7.00 mm diameter (0.2756 inch) cutting edge, a 140-degree split point, and a multilayer TiAlN coating for extended tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The overall length is 91.00 mm (3.58 inches), with a 53.00 mm (2.09 inch) flute length and a straight cylindrical shank measuring 8 mm (0.55 inch) in diameter. This drill is built to DIN 6537K specification and is sized at 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC machining centers and drill presses.
This jobber drill is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials in both production and job-shop settings. The right-hand spiral flute geometry provides efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications. The tapered web configuration adds point stability and reduces thrust force during entry. Maximum drilling depth is 43.00 mm (1.69 inches). It is a practical choice for shops running tight-tolerance bores in the 0.2500 to 0.3000 inch (7.00 to 8.00 mm) diameter range.
Designed as a DIN 6537K straight-shank jobber drill compatible with standard collet chucks, hydraulic toolholders, and drill chucks accepting an 8 mm shank. Rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the straight shank fully in the collet or chuck to the specified grip length before applying cutting forces. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against toolholder and machine specifications before engaging the cut. Do not use this drill in a hand-held drill; it is intended for machine tool use only.
