The KENNAMETAL 4150650 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 4.00 mm diameter, a 140-degree standard point angle, and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting conditions. The overall length is 74.00 mm (2.9134 inches), with a 36.00 mm (1.4173 inches) flute length and a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. The right-hand, regular spiral flute geometry supports efficient chip evacuation in both shallow and moderate-depth holes. This drill is sized to the DIN 6537K specification and is intended for use by machinists and tool-room technicians working on production or precision drilling operations.
This drill is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration make it appropriate for general-purpose production drilling, fixture work, and component fabrication where tight diameter tolerances are required. The diameter tolerance is held to -0.0005 to 0.0000 inches, making it a reliable choice when hole quality and consistency are critical. Maximum drilling depth is 29.00 mm (1.1417 inches).
Designed as a DIN 6537K-compliant solid carbide jobber drill for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes equipped with a straight-shank toolholder or collet accepting a 6 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the straight shank in a properly sized collet or drill chuck rated for the intended spindle speed before operation. Verify spindle RPM and feed rate against the workpiece material and cutting data recommended for solid carbide tooling before beginning a drilling cycle. Do not use this drill in hammer-drill or percussion mode, as impact loading will damage carbide tooling.
