The KENNAMETAL 4150193 is a screw machine length (stub length) solid carbide drill bit designed for precision drilling in metalworking and machining applications. Built to DIN 6537K specification, it features a 4.00 mm diameter, a 140-degree standard point angle, and a multilayer TiAlN coating applied at the tip for extended tool life and heat resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The overall length is 66.00 mm, with a 6.00 mm straight cylindrical shank. Two regular spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently. This bit is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and screw machine setups where a rigid, short-body drill is required for accurate, high-feed-rate hole-making.
The 4150193 is intended for stub-length drilling in production machining environments, including automotive, aerospace, and general metalworking shops. Its compact flute length of 24.00 mm and maximum drilling depth of 17.00 mm make it appropriate for shallow, high-tolerance holes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cutting direction and tapered web configuration improve centering and reduce walking on entry. This drill belongs to KENNAMETAL Series B041A-CPG and covers the 3.50 mm to 5.00 mm drill bit size range within that series.
Designed as a Series B041A-CPG stub-length carbide drill for use in standard straight-shank toolholders accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter. Fits drill bit size range 3.50 mm to 5.00 mm within this series lineup.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are powered down and fully stopped before inserting or removing the bit. Confirm the 6.00 mm shank seats fully and is clamped securely in a compatible collet or chuck before operation. Coolant-through is not supported on this model; use external coolant or cutting fluid appropriate to the workpiece material and cutting speed.
