The KENNAMETAL 4150176 is a screw machine length drill bit built for high-performance metal cutting in demanding trade and industrial applications. Manufactured from solid carbide with a TiN tip coating, it features a 10.00 mm diameter, a 140-degree split point, and a standard 2-flute regular spiral flute design. The overall length is 89.00 mm (3.504 inches) with a flute length of 47.00 mm (1.850 inches) and a maximum drilling depth of 35.00 mm (1.378 inches). The straight cylindrical shank makes it compatible with standard drill chucks and toolholders. This bit is designed for precision hole-making in ferrous and specialty metals across Series B041A.
This drill bit is suited for screw machine and short-hole drilling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The screw machine length format provides rigidity and reduced deflection in short, blind, and through-hole applications. It is used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and turret lathes in manufacturing and job shop environments. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio and tapered web configuration support chip evacuation in these materials without coolant-through capability.
Designed for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 10.00 mm shank. Conforms to DIN 6535 and DIN 6537 standards. Part of the KENNAMETAL B041A series.
This bit is installed and used by machinists and tooling technicians on CNC equipment, drill presses, and turret lathes. Ensure the spindle and machine are fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the chuck or collet and verify runout before beginning a drilling cycle. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; use flood or mist coolant at the cutting zone where required by the workpiece material.
