The KENNAMETAL 4149326 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built to DIN 6537K specification, it features a 13.00 mm diameter, a 140-degree point angle, and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The straight cylindrical shank measures 14 mm in diameter and 45 mm in length, and the overall length comes in at 124.00 mm (4.8819 inches). Internal coolant-through capability helps evacuate chips and manage heat at the cutting zone, making this drill well suited to production environments where cycle times and tool wear are closely monitored.
This drill is used in machining centers and CNC drilling operations targeting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. The 2-flute regular spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in both through-hole and blind-hole applications. With a maximum drilling depth of 60.00 mm and a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD, it fits standard production drilling cycles in job shops, aerospace fabrication, heavy equipment manufacturing, and general metalworking. A licensed machinist or CNC operator handles installation and setup.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting a straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys. Fits toolholders sized for a 14 mm shank diameter per DIN straight-shank standards.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or removing the drill from the toolholder. Confirm the toolholder bore and runout are within acceptable limits before clamping, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on solid carbide tooling. Do not use this drill in hand-held drilling equipment; it is intended for rigid machine-tool setups only.
