The KENNAMETAL 4149293 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding materials. It measures 10.30 mm in diameter with a 140-degree point angle and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and heat-generating applications. Overall length is 118.00 mm (4.6457 inches), with a 71.00 mm (2.7953 inches) flute length and a straight cylindrical shank of 12.00 mm diameter. Coolant-through capability is built in, making this drill well suited for deep-hole operations where chip evacuation and heat management are critical. Installation is typically performed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in CNC machining centers and drill presses.
This drill is engineered for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. It follows DIN 6537K specification, placing it in a widely recognized standard for solid carbide jobber drills. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute geometry support consistent chip flow in both through-hole and blind-hole applications. Maximum drilling depth is 56.00 mm (2.2047 inches). The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC and manual drilling setups.
Designed as an OEM-specification solid carbide jobber drill conforming to DIN 6537K, suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and transfer machines accepting a 12.00 mm straight cylindrical shank. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys.
This drill should be installed and operated by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling and CNC or manual drilling equipment. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of runout before seating the shank, as excessive runout accelerates carbide chipping. Verify coolant-through supply pressure and flow rate are appropriate for the machining application before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 56.00 mm without retracting and clearing chips.
