The KENNAMETAL 4149269 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. It features a 9.20 mm cutting diameter, a 140-degree point angle for reduced thrust and improved centering, and a multilayer TiAlN coating that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The straight cylindrical shank measures 10 mm in diameter and seats securely in standard chucks and collets. With an overall length of 103.00 mm and a flute length of 61.00 mm, this drill is suited for precision drilling cycles where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical. Installation and use are handled by machinists and CNC operators in metal fabrication and job shop environments.
This drill bit is engineered for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. It conforms to DIN 6537K specification, making it a direct fit for tooling setups built around metric DIN standards. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports moderately deep hole applications with a maximum drilling depth of 49.00 mm. Internal coolant-through capability makes it well matched to CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with through-spindle coolant systems, improving chip evacuation and reducing heat at the cutting edge during extended production runs.
Designed as a DIN 6537K metric jobber drill for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-spindle setups accepting a 10 mm straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys.
This drill bit is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in production machine shop environments. Before tool changes, power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per applicable safety procedures. Secure the straight shank in a precision collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter to prevent runout. When using through-spindle coolant, verify coolant pressure and flow rate are appropriate for the material and feed rate before beginning the drilling cycle.
