The KENNAMETAL 4149265 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. Built to DIN 6537K specification, it features a 140-degree point angle, multilayer TiAlN coating, and a right-hand regular spiral flute configuration. The 8.90 mm cutting diameter delivers a decimal-inch equivalent of 0.3504 inches. With an overall length of 103.00 mm (4.0551 inches) and a flute length of 61.00 mm (2.4016 inches), this drill is suited for CNC machining centers and production drilling where consistent hole quality and tool life are required. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management at elevated feed rates.
This drill is intended for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. It is well-suited for precision production drilling on horizontal and vertical machining centers in metalworking shops, toolrooms, and MRO environments. The straight cylindrical shank and 10 mm shank diameter are compatible with standard drill chucks and hydraulic or shrink-fit toolholders. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports moderate-depth holes, with a maximum drilling depth of 49.00 mm (1.9291 inches).
Designed as a DIN 6537K-compliant solid carbide jobber drill for use in standard straight-shank drill chucks, hydraulic toolholders, and shrink-fit systems accepting a 10 mm shank diameter. Suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine powered off and in a lockout/tagout condition. Confirm that the toolholder bore and clamping torque meet the machine manufacturer requirements before running at speed. Do not use this drill as a reamer or apply side-loading forces beyond its rated application range. Verify coolant-through pressure and flow are set per machine specifications before beginning production cycles.
