The KENNAMETAL 4121575 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the manufacturer designation HNGJ0604ANFNLDJ and grade KC410M. It features a hexagonal shape with 12 cutting edges, a positive rake angle of 15 degrees, and a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)-applied Titanium Diboride (TiB2) coating optimized for non-ferrous metal cutting. The insert measures 0.4724 inches across the inscribed circle and 0.1764 inches thick. A sharp cutting edge style and neutral hand orientation make it a double-sided, multi-use insert suited to high-productivity face and shoulder milling operations. Installation is by screw-holding method. This insert is specified to ANSI code HNGJ43ANFNLDJ and ISO code HNGJ0604ANFNLDJ.
This insert is designed for machining non-ferrous metals including aluminum alloys, copper alloys, and similar workpiece materials where the TiB2 coating resists built-up edge and maintains a sharp cutting geometry. The LDJ chip breaker geometry manages chip flow in high-speed, light-to-moderate depth-of-cut applications typical of production milling environments. It is compatible with the Kennametal Dodeka cutter series and is installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians in job shop and production machining settings. Sold individually; minimum order quantity is 5 inserts.
Compatible with the Kennametal Dodeka cutter series. Insert size code 43 with an inscribed circle range of 0.4000 to 0.5000 inches and a thickness range of 0.1750 to 0.1850 inches. Verify cutter body seating pocket specifications before installation.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the cutter body is removed from the spindle or the machine is in a locked-out, tagged-out state before handling inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer to seat the clamping screw; do not exceed the cutter body manufacturer's specified torque range. Inspect the seating pocket for chips or debris before installing each insert to ensure proper edge registration.
