The KENNAMETAL 4119992 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying manufacturer catalog number HNPJ060432ANSNHD and grade KCPK30. It features a hexagon insert shape with 12 cutting edges, making it a double-sided insert designed for extended tool life in high-productivity milling operations. The insert is CVD-coated with a TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 multilayer coating system for wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. With a positive rake angle of 15 degrees and an HD chip breaker geometry, it is suited for machinists and CNC operators working in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium.
This insert is intended for use in milling applications on CNC machining centers handling steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece materials. The HD chip breaker designation targets moderate to heavy feed applications where chip control is critical. It is compatible with the Kennametal Dodeka cutter series. The neutral hand orientation makes it adaptable for a range of toolholder configurations within that cutter family. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and general-purpose production milling in both job shop and production environments.
Designed for use with the Kennametal Dodeka cutter series. Insert conforms to ANSI code HNPJ438ANSNHD and ISO code HNPJ060432ANSNHD. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys and titanium workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician using the screw-lock holding method standard to the Dodeka cutter body. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the cutter body pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the insert to ensure proper contact and torque retention. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges prior to use.
