The KENNAMETAL 4119700 is a solid carbide hexagonal milling insert carrying the ISO designation HNPJ0604ANSNGD and manufactured to the KCPK30 grade. It features a CVD-applied multilayer coating of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3, which provides thermal resistance and wear protection across a broad range of workpiece materials. The insert is double-sided with 12 usable cutting edges, a negative rake geometry, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge style. Thickness is 0.175 inches, and the inscribed circle diameter is 0.4724 inches. This insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of five pieces.
Designed for use in Kennametal Dodeka cutter series milling bodies, this insert is suited for face milling and shoulder milling operations in production environments. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, K, and S. The GD chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation across these material categories. Typical applications include medium to heavy roughing and semi-finishing passes where insert longevity and edge security are priorities. Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician.
Designed for use in Kennametal Dodeka series milling cutter bodies. The insert uses screw-type holding and is compatible with cutter bodies accepting HNPJ-style inserts with an inscribed circle range of 0.4000 to 0.5000 inches and a length range of 0.4500 to 0.5000 inches.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Use the correct Torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer when seating the screw-clamp; do not overtighten or substitute fasteners. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating each insert, as contamination in the pocket can cause premature edge failure or insert rocking. Always confirm insert orientation and hand designation match the cutter body before resuming operation.
