The KENNAMETAL 4109782 is a solid carbide grooving insert in the Top Notch series, designed for precision grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the KCU25 manufacturer grade and features a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) AlTiN coating for extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The insert delivers a 6.35 mm (0.2500 inch) cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 6.35 mm (0.2500 inch), making it well-suited for medium-depth grooving passes. The K chip breaker geometry promotes reliable chip control. Machinists and tooling specialists install this insert in compatible Top Notch clamp-style toolholders.

This insert is intended for grooving applications in production turning environments, including both light manufacturing and job shop settings.
