The KENNAMETAL 4067308 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. It carries a 1 inch mill diameter, a 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in interrupted and continuous cuts alike. The AlTiN PVD coating delivers high heat resistance and hardness, making this tool well-suited to dry or semi-dry machining environments. At 4 inches overall length with a 1 inch Weldon flat shank, it is configured for rigid, high-precision setups on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is built for both roughing and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. The short length type and extended reach geometry make it appropriate for reaching into deeper pockets or profile features without sacrificing rigidity. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC milling configurations. It is compatible for use with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems as specified by the manufacturer. CNC machinists and tooling specialists in production shops, job shops, and aerospace or die-mold environments are the typical end users.
Designed for use with EM-CV Form AD and EM IN-HSK Form A toolholding systems. Optimized for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials per KENNAMETAL material codes P, M, K, and H.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a locked-out state. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into a side-lock or compatible holder and torque the set screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow applicable shop safety protocols and machine tool manufacturer guidelines when setting tool offsets and establishing cutting parameters.
