The KENNAMETAL 4067280 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. Built on the HPHV series platform, this single-end, four-flute tool measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length. The 45-degree chamfer geometry with a 0.0200-inch chamfer width produces clean edge breaks and transitions in a single pass. An AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. The variable flute index and center-cutting capability make it suitable for both roughing and finishing operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary installers and operators of this tool.
This end mill is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. It supports a wide range of machining operations including shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, plunging, and recessing. The Weldon flat shank accommodates standard side-lock toolholders commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The normal pitch and medium helix style balance chip evacuation with surface finish across this broad material range. It is suited for both prototype shops and production environments requiring a single tool capable of multiple operations.
Designed for use in standard 3/4-inch side-lock or Weldon flat toolholders on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. Primary workpiece materials are steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), and hard materials (H). Also referenced under manufacturer catalog number HPHV750S4163CH.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path program is verified before loading the tool into the holder. Seat the Weldon flat fully against the set screw and torque per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating any cutting cycle, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and reduce chamfer accuracy.
