The KENNAMETAL 4048722 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. Built to the UCDE series standard, it features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and five flutes ground from submicron carbide stock. The cutting edges are coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) via a PVD process, providing thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. This is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with a straight cylindrical shank, suited for both roughing and finishing passes.

This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where precise corner geometry and edge strength are required. It is well-suited for applications in tool and die, aerospace component machining, mold work, and general metalworking where the workpiece is steel, stainless steel, cast iron, or similarly hard material.
