The KENNAMETAL 3870468 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and three right-hand spiral flutes, this single-end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and consistent surface finishes. The submicron carbide grade provides hardness and wear resistance suited to demanding machining environments. The bright uncoated finish makes it well-suited for applications where coating adhesion to non-ferrous materials is a concern. It belongs to the AADE series from Kennametal and is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop settings.
This end mill is rated for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials, including aluminum alloys, copper, and similar materials. The coarse pitch geometry and high helix style support aggressive roughing passes while maintaining tool stability. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter and is compatible with HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves with inch bores, making it easy to integrate into standard toolholding setups on vertical or horizontal machining centers.
Compatible with HC 20M through HC 32M hydraulic sleeves metric with inch bores. Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for non-ferrous metal machining in standard CNC milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is clamped to the recommended gauge-line depth before engaging the drawbar or hydraulic clamping mechanism. Verify runout with a test indicator before production use. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material grade being machined.
