The KENNAMETAL 3849319 is a solid carbide milling insert with ISO designation XNGJ0905ANFNLDJ3W, engineered for high-performance milling of non-ferrous metals. The insert carries a KC410 manufacturer grade and features a titanium diboride (TiB2) coating applied via PVD process, which delivers low friction and strong adhesion resistance when cutting aluminum, copper, and similar materials. The trigon insert shape provides an 80-degree included angle, and the wiper cutting edge style improves surface finish at elevated feed rates. With 6 cutting edges on a double-sided body, this insert extends tool life and reduces per-edge cost in production milling operations. Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures.
