The KENNAMETAL 3769415 is a CCMT2152FP screw-on turning insert in grade KCU25, designed for precision finishing operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive rake angle of 15 degrees and a 7-degree relief angle, delivering clean cutting geometry suited to finishing passes. The AlTiN (TiAlN) PVD coating provides moderate wear resistance combined with toughness, making this insert effective across a range of workpiece materials. With a 0.25-inch inscribed circle, a 0.0313-inch corner radius, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.0845 inches, the 3769415 is sized for light-to-moderate material removal in controlled finishing applications. It ships individually and must be ordered in multiples of 5.
This insert is intended for turning, facing, and boring operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous materials, and superalloys including titanium. It is well suited to shops running general-purpose finishing programs on production turning equipment. The neutral hand orientation and positive side clearance make it adaptable to standard CCMT-style toolholders used in both manual and CNC turning setups. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and general machining environments will find this insert appropriate for controlled finishing cuts where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are the priority.
Designed for use in CCMT-style screw-on toolholders accepting a 2152 (ANSI) or 060208 (ISO) insert size. Compatible with toolholder systems designed for C-style, 80-degree diamond inserts with positive rake geometry and screw-on clamping.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully against the toolholder pocket locating surfaces before torquing the clamping screw; an improperly seated insert can fracture under cutting load. Inspect the insert seat and screw for wear or damage at each insert change.
