The KENNAMETAL 3760972 is a TNMG433MP turning insert in grade KCM25, designed for general turning, facing, and boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide with a multilayer MTCVD coating consisting of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3, which delivers high toughness on steel and moderate wear resistance and toughness on stainless steel. It features a 60-degree triangular shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 3/64-inch corner radius. With six cutting edges per insert, this KENLOC-series indexable tool provides extended service life and is suited for roughing and medium machining passes.
This insert is intended for machining steel, stainless steel, and superalloys, including titanium-group workpiece materials. The MP chip breaker geometry handles both roughing and medium machining cut depths, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.0492 inches (1.25 mm). It is a standard fit for KENLOC toolholders that accept TNMG433-style inserts. Typical users include CNC machinists and toolroom technicians working in production turning, job-shop facing operations, and ID boring applications where consistent chip control on ferrous and high-alloy materials is required.
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders that accept TNMG433-style inserts with clamp or pin holding. Suitable for turning, facing, and boring of steel (P), stainless steel (M), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece materials. Material grades C1 and C2 apply.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is secured in the turret before indexing or replacing the insert. Use the appropriate torx or hex key as specified by the KENLOC toolholder manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw or pin. Inspect the insert seat and clamping components for chips or wear before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and accurate tool geometry.
