The KENNAMETAL 3758094 is a CCMT432MF turning insert in grade KCM25, designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a multilayer CVD coating - TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD process - over a solid carbide substrate. The 80-degree diamond shape provides a strong cutting edge geometry, while the MF chip breaker is engineered for finishing passes with controlled chip formation. The insert measures 12.9 mm (0.5077 inches) in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 1/32-inch (0.0313-inch) corner radius, and a 3/16-inch insert thickness. A neutral hand orientation and positive rake angle make it suitable for a range of turning applications. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers.
This insert is suited for turning, facing, and boring operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpieces - primary material codes P, M, and S. The MF chip breaker geometry targets finishing and light-to-medium material removal, making it effective in applications where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are priorities. The screw-on holding method locks the insert securely in CCMT-compatible toolholders. Maximum depth of cut is 1.25 mm (0.0492 inches). This insert meets both ANSI and ISO standards and carries material grades C1 and C2.
Designed for use in CCMT432-compatible screw-on toolholders meeting ANSI and ISO standards. Suitable for turning, facing, and boring applications on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Power down and zero-out the machine before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to secure the screw-on clamp - do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide substrate. Verify insert seating in the pocket and confirm edge alignment before resuming cuts.
