The KENNAMETAL 3757600 is a DNMG434UN KCK20 solid carbide turning insert engineered for high-wear-resistance applications in steel and cast iron machining. Coated with a multilayer AlTiN and AlCrN PVD coating, this insert delivers consistent cutting performance during roughing and medium machining operations. The 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape provides four usable cutting edges with a neutral hand orientation. Key dimensions include a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, a 15.5 mm insert length, and a 0.0625 inch corner radius. The UN chip breaker geometry is optimized for chip control across both roughing and medium-stock-removal passes. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom professionals install this insert on compatible KENLOC-style toolholders.
This insert is suited for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on steel (P-class) and cast iron (K-class) workpiece materials. The KCK20 grade is rated for high wear-resistance in steel applications and high to moderate wear-resistance with improved toughness in cast iron applications. The DNMG style with negative rake and negative side clearance makes it appropriate for rigid setups where tool pressure and edge strength are priorities. It conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards, carrying ANSI insert code DNMG434 and ISO insert code DNMG150416, making it a direct fit into tooling systems designed around either standard.
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders accepting DNMG-style inserts with clamp or pin holding methods. Compatible with tooling systems designed to the ANSI DNMG434 or ISO DNMG150416 insert standard. Intended for use on steel and cast iron workpiece materials per P and K material grade classifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all power is off before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert firmly against the pocket locating surfaces before clamping to avoid micro-movement during cut. Inspect the insert pocket and clamp pin for wear or debris before each installation to maintain proper seating and edge repeatability.
