The KENNAMETAL 3757598 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for high-productivity metal cutting in steel and cast iron applications. Identified by industry standard code DNMG432UN, it features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape with a neutral hand orientation and a negative rake and side clearance geometry. The insert carries a multilayer PVD coating classified as AlTiN and AlCrN, delivering high wear resistance across a broad range of cutting conditions. With 4 cutting edges, a 1/2-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius, this insert is suited for roughing and medium machining operations. Licensed HVAC, machining, and metalworking professionals specify this insert for demanding turning and facing work.
This insert is intended for use in CNC lathes and manual turning centers where steel (ISO material group P) and cast iron (ISO material group K) are the primary workpiece materials. The KENLOC series design supports clamp and pin holding methods. Suitable multi-use applications include turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring. The UN chip breaker geometry is optimized for roughing and medium machining passes, making this insert appropriate for both production shops and job shop environments working with ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit turning insert for KENLOC series toolholders accepting DNMG432 (ANSI) or DNMG150408 (ISO) inserts with clamp or pin holding. Primary workpiece material compatibility: Steel (P grade, high wear resistance) and Cast Iron (K grade, high wear resistance to moderate wear resistance and toughness).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing inserts. Ensure the toolholder pocket and clamping surfaces are clean and free of chips before installing the insert. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for clamping screws; do not substitute insert grades or chip breaker styles without verifying compatibility with the programmed cutting parameters.
