The KENNAMETAL 3755673 is a DCMT3252MF screw-on turning insert designed for precision metal removal in CNC and manual turning applications. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a multilayer MTCVD TiCN plus Al2O3 coating under the KCM15 grade, it delivers moderate wear resistance combined with toughness. The 55-degree diamond (D) shape provides a sharp, positive-rake geometry with a chamfered and honed cutting edge, and the MF chip breaker geometry is engineered for finishing and medium machining operations. The inscribed circle measures 3/8 inches, insert length is 11.63 mm, and corner radius is 1/32 inches. Two cutting edges are available per insert. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in screw-on toolholders.
This insert is suited for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on steel, stainless steel, and superalloys including titanium. The KCM15 grade addresses ISO P and M workpiece material classifications, with secondary suitability for ISO S materials. The MF chip breaker geometry controls chip flow effectively at finishing and medium depths of cut, making this insert a practical choice for tight-tolerance diameter work and contour turning on a lathe or turning center. It conforms to ANSI insert code DCMT3252 and ISO insert code DCMT11T308.
Designed to fit screw-on DCMT-style toolholders accepting an ANSI DCMT3252 or ISO DCMT11T308 insert. Suitable for steel (ISO P), stainless steel (ISO M), and superalloys and titanium (ISO S) workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the clamp screw to the correct torque per toolholder documentation. Inspect the insert seat and clamp for chips or damage before seating the new insert, and confirm the cutting edge orientation matches the programmed tool path direction.
