The KENNAMETAL 3753780 is a solid carbide turning insert carrying the ANSI designation DNMG332MN and grade KCP30. It features a multilayer CVD coating of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD, balancing wear resistance with toughness across a range of cut conditions. The insert measures 11.63 mm (0.9156 inches) in length with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, a 3/16-inch thickness, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. Chip breaker designation MN targets roughing and medium machining operations. With four cutting edges and neutral hand orientation, the 3753780 delivers consistent performance in high-volume production turning environments. Installation is performed by machinists and CNC setup technicians.
This insert is suited for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. The KCP30 grade is rated for steel (P-class) applications requiring moderate wear resistance and toughness through high toughness, and for stainless steel (M-class) applications requiring moderate wear resistance and toughness. The 55-degree diamond (D) shape provides a sharp approach angle for profiling passes while retaining adequate nose strength. Maximum depth of cut is 1.25 mm (0.0492 inches). The insert is compatible with KENLOC series toolholders designed for DNMG-style inserts using clamp or pin holding methods.
Designed for use in KENLOC series toolholders accepting DNMG-style inserts with clamp or pin holding. Conforms to ANSI insert code DNMG332 and ISO insert code DNMG110408. Material grade classifications C5 and C6 apply.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC technician following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque and seating procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for debris or wear before seating a new insert. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges prior to use.
