The KENNAMETAL 3753252 is a CNMG432MN KCP10 grade solid carbide turning insert with a multilayer MTCVD-applied TiCN and Al2O3 coating. It features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape, a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch (0.0313-inch) corner radius. The MN chip breaker geometry is engineered for roughing and medium machining operations. With four cutting edges and a negative rake, neutral hand configuration, this insert delivers high wear resistance on steel and moderate wear resistance with toughness on aluminum and non-ferrous materials. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians on CNC lathes and turning centers using the KENLOC clamping system.
This insert is suited for turning, facing, and boring operations in both production and job-shop environments. Primary workpiece materials are steel and cast iron (ISO material group P), with rated performance on aluminum and non-ferrous metals (ISO group N). The KCP10 grade provides high wear resistance for steel and moderate wear resistance with toughness for non-ferrous applications. The CNMG432MN geometry supports aggressive material removal at a maximum depth of cut of 0.0492 inches (1.25 mm), making it appropriate for roughing passes where tool life and edge stability are the priority.
Designed for use in KENLOC series toolholders that accept CNMG432 inserts secured by clamp or pin holding methods. Meets ANSI insert code CNMG432 and ISO insert code CNMG120408. Compatible with multi-use applications including turning, facing, and boring.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing the insert. Ensure the insert pocket and seating surface are clean and free of chips before clamping. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque specifications and do not overtighten the clamp screw, as this can fracture the carbide substrate.
