The KENNAMETAL 3751811 is a CNMG432MN indexable turning insert in the KCP40 carbide grade, designed for general turning, facing, and boring operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. The insert features a multilayer CVD coating sequence of TiN, TiCN, and Al2O3 applied via MTCVD process, delivering wear resistance and thermal protection at elevated cutting speeds. The 80-degree diamond shape provides a strong cutting geometry, and the MN chip breaker is suited for medium-range depths of cut. Four usable cutting edges per insert extend tool life per unit. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop turning applications.
The 3751811 is intended for turning, facing, and boring of steel and stainless steel, covering primary workpiece material codes P and M. The negative rake geometry and chamfered-and-honed cutting edge style make it suitable for interrupted and continuous cuts at moderate to high material removal rates. The MN chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation across a range of feed rates and depths. This insert is part of the KENNAMETAL KENLOC series, which uses a clamp-and-pin holding method for secure seating in compatible toolholders.
Designed for use in KENLOC-series toolholders that accept CNMG 432 inserts with a clamp-and-pin holding method. Conforms to ANSI and ISO industry standards for CNMG insert geometry. Verify toolholder compatibility with CNMG insert style, 0.5 inch inscribed circle, and 3/16 inch insert thickness before installation.
Indexable inserts of this type are installed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamping hardware specified for the toolholder series to secure the insert; do not overtighten clamping screws. Inspect the insert seat and chip pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert edge.
