The KENNAMETAL 3747225 is a polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) turning insert carrying industry standard designation DNGA432S0425MT in grade KB5630. It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape, a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32 inch corner radius. The cutting edges are chamfered and honed with a flat-top chip breaker geometry and a negative rake angle. An AlTiN PVD coating provides high wear resistance when machining hard materials and special or super alloys. This insert is a multi-tipped, neutral-hand design intended for use by machinists and CNC turning specialists on horizontal and vertical turning centers.

This insert is suited for hard turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. Installation Notes
