The KENNAMETAL 3746100 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built around ISO designation 075ED10C075Z2L110C4, this tool features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter and accepts four EC10 and EP10 series inserts secured by screw-clamp retention. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.745 inches and a head length of 1.053 inches, it delivers aggressive material removal while maintaining square-shoulder geometry. The cylindrical shank measures 3/4 inch in diameter and the tool reaches an overall length of 4.406 inches. Installation and setup are performed by CNC machinists and tool-room technicians on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is suited for helical interpolation and square-shoulder milling applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 0-degree lead angle produces a true 90-degree wall, making it appropriate for step milling, slot roughing, and face milling where perpendicular shoulder geometry is required. With a maximum spindle speed rating of 38,000 RPM, it supports high-speed machining setups. The two-flute body accommodates four total insert seats, and the screw-clamp insert holding method provides repeatable edge indexing without shim adjustment in most standard toolholders.
Designed for use with EC10 and EP10 series indexable inserts as specified by the manufacturer. Verify insert grade and geometry selection against the workpiece material and cutting parameters before assembly.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tool-room technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or indexing any cutting inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key to secure insert screws to the manufacturer-specified procedure; do not over-torque or under-torque clamping hardware. Confirm shank runout with a dial indicator after seating in the toolholder before beginning a cut.
