The KENNAMETAL 3742554 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for milling operations that require a true 90-degree shoulder wall. Built around the M1D075E1003W075L110 body, it accepts three EC10 or EP10 series inserts secured by screw clamp, making insert changes quick and repeatable. The cutter delivers a 3/4-inch cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 0.398 inches, and a through-coolant system with a 0.236-inch coolant hole diameter for effective chip evacuation and heat management at the cutting zone. With a maximum spindle speed rating of 45,900 RPM, this tool is suited for high-speed applications in CNC machining centers. It is installed and serviced by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill fits production and job-shop CNC milling environments where square-shoulder profiling, slotting, and face milling are common operations. The 0-degree lead angle produces a true 90-degree wall, which is critical for workpiece features requiring tight perpendicularity. The Weldon flat shank at 3/4-inch diameter provides positive rotational drive and is compatible with standard Weldon-style end mill holders. The 3.13-inch overall length gives adequate reach for most standard milling setups. It is well suited for ferrous and non-ferrous material removal where consistent insert performance and fast changeovers are priorities.
Compatible with EC10 and EP10 series indexable inserts. Designed for use in Weldon-style end mill holders accepting a 3/4-inch shank diameter.
This toolholder is installed by machinists using a standard Weldon-style end mill holder and appropriate hex key for the clamping screw. Before mounting or changing inserts, ensure the spindle is fully stopped, locked out, and the machine is powered down per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully in the holder before tightening the set screw to the flat. Use the correct torx or hex driver specified for the insert clamping screws to avoid stripping the screw head.
